Tick has the ability to output your time log data to a CSV file, which is nice, but I wanted to be able to quickly print out a summary for each client that I could include with their invoice each month.
So, I did what any good developer would do, I wrote a script for it. It’s been working well for me for a few months now, so I thought I’d throw it in The Tubes in case anyone else wanted to use it.
Here’s the link: Report Generator for Tick.

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the update. The API looks good. It should be pretty easy to rewrite this to take advantage of this new functionality. Are there plans to implement any sort of API key or other authentication system (maybe OpenID?) so that users wouldn’t have to enter their Tick password into my application? Just curious.
Thanks!
We’ve talked about it, but we don’t have any plans at this point. Expanding our reporting, invoicing, and even integration with Quickbooks are a higher priority right now.
Let us know when you start integrating with the API!
